WICKED REVIEW

WICKED REVIEW

Howdy people. So if you remember me tell you what I got for my birthday in June, you'll remember me mentioning that I got 2 tickets (for me and my mum) to go see Wicked. Well today I did! Let me run you through the day....

So this morning my Mum made me get up at like 8:15 am... ON A FUCKING SATURDAY! But this was only because we needed to get the 9:16am train to London Victoria.

My Dad dropped me and Mum off at the train station about 9. Whilst mum was sorting out the tickets I went and got a paper for her to read on the train. I also took a quick peep at the Prom book thing they had for sale and just browsed through the whole 6 photos from Mayfield's prom.

It took about 2 hours 20 mins for us to arrive in London (after a little delay at somewhere beginning with a H but I forgot the name) when we were pulling into the station I managed to get a quick glimpse at the London Eye, Big Ben, The Shard and the Gherkin building but couldn't be bothered to get my camera out to take photos.

Once we got out of the station we went and got something to eat and then took a stroll up to Buckingham Palace (was soo busy on the pavements!)

At 2pm we made our way to the Apollo Victoria Theatre and got our seats about 2:15pm. We sat in the dress circle, row P, seats 15 and 16 (which was quite high up but we had an amazing view!)

At 2:30pm the show started opening with the song "No One Mourns the Wicked" performed by Glinda and the Citizens of Oz. After that the order of the songs for the rest of Act 1 were as followed:

"Dear Old Shiz" - Students
"The Wizard and I"- Morrible, Elphaba
"What is this Feeling?"- Galinda, Elphaba and Students
"Something Bad"- Dr. Dillamond and Elphaba
"Dancing through Life"- Fiyero, Galinda, Boq, Nessarose, Elphaba and Students
"Popular"- Galinda
"I'm Not That Girl"- Elphaba
"One Short Day"- Elphaba, Glinda and Denizens of the Emerald City
"A Sentimental Man"- The Wizard
"Defying Gravity"- Elphaba, Glinda, Guards and Citizens of Oz

About 4pm they had a interval for about 20 minutes before resuming Act 2 and opening with "No One Mourns the Wicked" (Reprise) performed by the Citizens of Oz. The order of the songs for the rest of Act 2 were as followed:

"Thank Goodness"- Glinda, Morrible and Citizens of Oz
"The Wicked Witch of the East"- Elphaba, Nessarose and Boq
"Wonderful"- The Wizard and Elphaba
"I'm Not That Girl" (Reprise)- Glinda
"As Long as You're Mine"- Elphaba and Fiyero
"No Good Deed"- Elphaba
"March of the Witch Hunters"- Boq and Citizens of Oz
"For Good"- Glinda and Elphaba
"Finale"- All

The show finished at about 5:20pm.

MY OPINION!
I personally thought that this was one of the best performances on the earth! All the performers were absolutely amazing in their acting and singing. The lighting and sound effects used were outstanding as well and really added the right effects at the right moments. All in all I give this show a 10/10 and would definately return to see this as well as recommending it to others.

So that was my wonderful day in London.

Byee for now :)
